A door to Italy - Italian courses in Genoa

The school is located in Genoa, in the beautiful Italian Riviera, close to Portofino and Cinque Terre. Located in an elegant and fascinating building of the 19th century, in the ancient and historical Via Caffaro, the school is one minute walk from all the main important places in Genoa, such as Via Garibaldi (Unesco’s Heritage) and Piazza de Ferrari (with the beautiful Palazzo Ducale and the Opera House).

The school specializes in short, medium or long term programs. The purpose of the school is to furnish highly qualified and specialized courses, geared to the specific needs of our students. Programs and levels are planned and scheduled following the Common European Framework within ALTE, the association of providers of foreign language examinations.


Classes are open to maximum 8 students, each with different language and cultural background, which makes lessons very interesting and the learning process particularly fast.

Courses are available all year round and broadly respond to a lot of the necessities that students encounter during the learning of a foreign language. The courses teach how to face daily situations, providing essential lexical and grammatical bases and more and more complex in relationship to the degree and level of faced study.

Apart the general Italian language courses, our offer includes many cultural proposals: cooking course, food and wine tasting, excursus on literature, cinema and Italian contemporary theatre, Italian language through the Italian songs, Italian daily life and political situation.

Next to this offer the adventure courses are a news of these last year and it is possible to experience wonderful and active moments diving, sailing, horse riding, or trekking in the surroundings of Genoa!


Why A door to Italy… the origin of the name Genoa has different interpretations, but the most fascinating of them is that it comes from the latin word janua, which means door… we like to think that the city can be considered as a door as it has always been: so as ships arriving at its port find a safe shelter here and it is an entryway to the commercial streets of the continent. It can be considered a door to the cultures that throughout the centuries have created the city such as it is today.
